WORKA CHELBESA

Halo village is home to the newest wet mill, or washing station, built by SNAP Coffee Exporters in Ethiopia. These centrally-located processing centers are where coffee is delivered after harvest to be cleared of the cherry fruit surrounding the seed.

Bordering the greater Yirgacheffe coffee-growing region, the Chelbesa kebele (local ward) is known for consistently producing flavorful coffees at high elevation. Like this natural-process selection. The coffee is dried with the cherry intact at Halo wet mill before being cleared from the seed with water. The result is a classic fruit/floral profile featuring a syrupy body.
